About MedPro Group
MedPro Group is a leading Berkshire Hathaway insurance organization dedicated to serving clients and supporting its people. The company brings together professionals from a wide range of backgrounds to help protect those who care for others. If you have not previously worked in insurance, this may still be a strong career fit to explore.
Role Overview
In this position, you will support litigation management work by handling invoice review, coordinating law firm billing-related communication, and assisting with training and audit-related activities. The role also involves keeping billing records current, helping the claims team manage reserve levels, and providing broader functional support as directed by management.
Key Responsibilities
- Review attorney invoices and prepare them for payment processing.
- Evaluate appeals submitted by law firms and respond accordingly.
- Review expense reserves to make sure sufficient funds are available for invoice payments, and inform the claims consultant when reserve balances are low or need to be increased.
- Coordinate approval of law firm timekeepers.
- Track invoice aging and notify the claims team when invoices remain pending for more than 30 days.
- Help process bills that fall below the paralegal review limit when support is required.
- Spot firms that may need audit attention or billing training because of non-compliant billing behavior, and share findings with the Litigation Management Team.
- Arrange audit calls or billing training sessions on behalf of Litigation Management Counsel.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and modules.
- Carry out other tasks within the functional area as assigned by the supervising manager.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has prior experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant in a litigation defense law firm, or in a hospital legal or risk management department. You should be comfortable with litigation-related terms and procedures, and bring strong organization, communication, analytical thinking, and interpersonal abilities. The role also calls for someone who can work well both independently and as part of a team, with remote work efficiency considered an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is expected to fall between $60,000 and $100,000, depending on qualifications, skills, and competencies. Compensation is part of a broader package that includes medical, vision, and dental coverage options, life and accident insurance, a 401(k) plan, and short-term and long-term disability insurance.

MedPro Group states that it is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The company emphasizes a culture centered on integrity, client focus, teamwork, and long-term commitment.
Company Background
