Job description
About the company
Embassy of Beauty is a carefully curated beauty retailer focused on distinctive, high-quality brands. The business built its reputation around rare and exceptional names in beauty, starting as the UK home of Biologique Recherche and growing into a multi-brand retailer operating in the UK and, more recently, the US. It is a compact, high-ownership team where commercial impact is visible quickly.
Role overview
This position owns paid acquisition from end to end across Google Ads and Meta for both the UK and US markets. It is a hands-on role with direct responsibility for building, managing and improving campaigns, rather than coordinating work through an agency.
The role is based in Kensington, London, with office attendance required five days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full paid media strategy, campaign build, budget allocation and day-to-day optimisation across Google Ads and Meta.
- Manage performance for Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns, along with Meta activity across both markets.
- Drive new-customer growth, which is the company’s top commercial priority, while balancing brand and non-brand search as well as prospecting and retargeting.
- Work with the designer to develop and refine creative assets based on performance data and conversion outcomes.
- Maintain reliable conversion measurement across GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel/CAPI and Shopify, with Shopify treated as the primary source of truth.
- Track and share weekly performance updates covering the metrics that matter most, including new-customer revenue share, brand vs non-brand performance, and blended and channel ROAS/CAC.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of direct, hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta campaigns in a DTC or ecommerce environment.
- Proven ability to run campaigns personally rather than through agency management.
- Strong working knowledge of GA4 and GTM.
- Ability to question platform attribution and identify when reporting data is unreliable.
- Experience working with Shopify.
- Clear and concise communication style, with the ability to explain performance in straightforward terms.
Additional information
The role supports both the UK and US business, and the company notes that experience launching or scaling a new market, particularly the US, would be an advantage. Experience in premium beauty, skincare or luxury DTC brands is also considered a plus.
Team environment
You will work closely with the Ecommerce Manager, the in-house designer, and the CRM & Retention Manager.
