Role overview
This opportunity is based at the Waitematā Brewery in Auckland and is offered as a permanent full-time position. You’ll be part of the Packaging team at DB Breweries, which sits within the global HEINEKEN family, and your work will help ensure beer, cider, and RTDs are packaged to the right standard every time.

What the role involves
This is a practical, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys a busy production environment and takes pride in safe, efficient work. The focus is on keeping packaging equipment running well, maintaining product quality, and supporting continuous improvement across the line.
- Run, service, and enhance packaging equipment so production goals are achieved.
- Ensure output consistently meets quality and safety expectations.
- Contribute to the TPM continuous improvement programme using tools such as 5S and Kaizen to lift performance and reduce losses.
- Complete reactive and preventive maintenance activities within required timeframes.
- Partner with planning, maintenance, and logistics teams to support smooth site operations.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures and assist with team training.
- Move between different areas of the operation as required.
What you’ll need
The ideal candidate will bring a mechanical or electrical trade qualification such as NZCE, an Advanced Trade Certificate, or an equivalent credential. Previous exposure to packaging or maintenance work in brewing, FMCG, or food and beverage environments is important, along with practical experience using maintenance systems and continuous improvement methods.

- Familiarity with maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices.
- Comfortable using technology, including phones, tablets, email, online training platforms, and basic data/issue logging systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge.
