Role Overview

Giant Tiger Wholesale is hiring a permanent Warehouse Order Picker for the freezer area at its Brockville distribution centre. The role is on the evening shift and is focused on preparing orders for stores across Canada.

What You Will Do

• Prepare store orders for delivery to more than 270 Giant Tiger locations nationwide.
• Stack cartons of different sizes on skids in a way that is safe, stable, and accurate.
• Lift boxes repeatedly throughout the shift, with items ranging from 1 to 50 pounds, while following health and safety rules.
• Operate an electric double pallet truck to move through the warehouse and complete picking tasks efficiently and safely.
• Match picked skids with the outbound license plate numbers (OLPNs) assigned to each order.
• Verify pick accuracy and make sure shipments are completed within required deadlines.
• Keep the work area tidy, organized, and clean.
• Assist other teams when requested by the supervisor.

What the Job Requires

Work must be carried out in a way that supports safety and follows Ontario Safety and Health Act requirements as well as WHMIS standards.

• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift heavy items repeatedly during the full shift.
• Comfort working in a busy, high-energy, and noisy warehouse setting.
• Strong punctuality, flexibility, and a sharp eye for detail.
• Professional presentation and workplace demeanor.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment of as low as -18°C for long periods.
• Completion of three days of paid machine training and successful in-house certification during onboarding is mandatory and required for the job.

Helpful Experience

• Prior use of voice picking tools or the Manhattan Warehouse Management System.
• Experience operating an electric double pallet truck or similar equipment.
• Background in a warehouse environment.
• A Class G2 license or higher.

Schedule

The standard shift runs Sunday to Thursday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $19.43. In addition to the base rate, eligible shifts may include premium pay, and employees can receive guaranteed wage increases based on cumulative hours worked.

• Overnight shift premium of $2.00 per hour, where applicable.
• Cold storage premium of $1.00 per hour for the Brockville location.
