Job overview
We are looking for a seasoned Oracle WebCenter System Administrator to oversee enterprise WebCenter platforms in a banking setting. This position focuses on keeping critical applications stable, secure, highly available, and well-performing across production and non-production environments.
The role requires solid hands-on knowledge of Oracle WebCenter, Red Hat Linux, Apache Web Server, middleware support, and production operations. Prior experience in banking or financial services is mandatory.

Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of Oracle WebCenter environments, including configuration, administration, maintenance, and support.
- Track application status, system health, and availability across live and non-live environments.
- Handle installs, configuration changes, upgrades, migrations, and patching for WebCenter components.
- Coordinate deployments, release execution, and controlled configuration updates under change management rules.
- Watch servers, middleware services, applications, and logs to keep operations running without interruption.
- Investigate and fix application, middleware, and infrastructure issues within SLA commitments.
- Perform root cause analysis for repeated incidents and introduce corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver L2 and L3 support for business-critical systems.
- Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and maintain their stability.
- Administer Apache Web Server setups and tune them for better performance.
- Create and maintain shell scripts to automate operational, monitoring, and support activities.
- Apply hardening standards, security checks, and vulnerability fixes across systems.
- Maintain strong uptime, reliability, and application responsiveness through proactive performance management.
- Support capacity planning, tuning, and preventive maintenance efforts.
- Work with high-availability designs and failover procedures.
- Apply security updates and ensure operating systems and applications stay aligned with compliance standards.
- Follow banking security policies, audit controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve audit observations and complete corrective actions within agreed timelines.
- Join security reviews and risk assessments as needed.
- Support disaster recovery environments and verify replication behavior.
- Participate in DR testing, failover drills, and continuity exercises.
- Maintain recovery documentation and DR runbooks.
- Support workloads deployed on OpenShift and coordinate with related technical teams.
- Monitor containerized applications and help preserve platform stability.
- Document procedures, architecture diagrams, and support material for operations teams.
- Follow ITIL-based practices for incidents, problems, changes, and releases.
- Operate within governance, security, and organizational policy requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6–8 years of practical experience supporting Oracle WebCenter and middleware environments.
- Mandatory background in banking or financial services.
- Deep working knowledge of Oracle WebCenter administration and support.
- Strong experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
- Good command of Apache Web Server administration.
- Experience building shell scripts and automation for operations tasks.
- Experience with patching, hardening, and security compliance work.
- Hands-on exposure to disaster recovery environments and business continuity solutions.
- Knowledge of applications hosted on OpenShift platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot, tune, and monitor enterprise applications effectively.
- Understanding of SLA handling, incident management, and operational support workflows.
Preferred qualifications
- Oracle Middleware Administration certification.
- RHCSA or RHCE certification.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Exposure to containerized and cloud-native environments.
- Familiarity with banking security controls and compliance frameworks.
