OPT Recruiter (US IT Staffing)

Role Overview

Baanyan Software Services, Inc. is hiring an OPT Recruiter for its US Staffing team in Kolkata. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, and placing international students and recent graduates on OPT, CPT, and STEM OPT assignments across IT and non-IT roles in the United States. The position is for night shift work and is suitable for freshers with the right skills and interest in US recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Find and engage OPT, CPT, and STEM OPT candidates using job boards, social platforms, referrals, and networking channels.
• Maintain a healthy talent pipeline for immediate and future hiring needs.
• Review resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess skills, communication, technical fit, and visa eligibility.
• Explain placement processes, marketing steps, and available job opportunities to candidates.
• Work closely with account managers, business development staff, and vendors to match candidates with open roles.
• Keep in regular contact with candidates throughout sourcing, submission, interview, offer, and joining stages.
• Update ATS/CRM tools with submissions, interview progress, offers, and placement status.
• Ensure all candidate records and supporting documents remain complete and accurate.
• Work toward daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment and placement targets.
• Stay informed about US immigration and work authorization categories such as OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, and EAD.

Requirements

• Prior exposure to OPT recruitment in a US IT staffing environment is preferred.
• Good understanding of US work authorization processes, including OPT, CPT, H-1B, and related visas.
• Familiarity with sourcing candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, and Dice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good people skills.
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively during night shifts.
• Able to handle pressure and meet recruitment deadlines consistently.
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in Human Resources, staffing, or a related area.
• Must be willing to work from 6:30 PM to 03:30 AM IST.
• Graduation is required.
• Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working without constant supervision.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The role follows a night shift schedule from 06:30 PM to 03:30 AM IST. Freshers are welcome to apply.
