Job description
About the Role
Join a rapidly expanding LGBTQ+ apparel brand with a dedicated customer following. This position sits at the center of a small, high-impact team where individual ownership directly influences the company’s results. The role is designed for someone who is highly analytical, comfortable working cross-functionally, and eager to take full ownership of operations that support growth.
You will be responsible for the company’s operational core, spanning inventory, logistics, customer experience, and financial coordination. A major part of the job is keeping the supply chain efficient, protecting margins from cost pressures such as rising shipping and fuel charges, and improving internal workflows so the Founder can stay focused on strategy and brand direction.
Supply Chain and Inventory Planning
- Work with the Founder to turn sales projections and product drop calendars into accurate factory purchase orders.
- Review historical sales patterns to fine-tune size distributions, helping reduce stock shortages on top-selling items and avoid excess inventory.
- Act as the main contact for overseas manufacturing partners, following production schedules, checking quality standards, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Keep a clear record of landed cost components, including manufacturing cost, freight, duties, and brokerage charges.
Logistics and 3PL Management
- Take ownership of the relationship with the third-party logistics provider and ensure service levels, fulfillment accuracy, and shipping timelines are consistently met.
- Review shipping rate structures and look for opportunities to control carrier costs and added surcharges.
- Coordinate inbound freight, customs processing, and warehouse receiving with customs brokers and the 3PL partner.
Financial Coordination and Payment Operations
- Serve as the internal liaison for the external bookkeeping team and keep invoices, receipts, payouts, and inventory valuation records organized for monthly reconciliation.
- Monitor payment systems such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna, and Afterpay, including fees, fraud controls, and any chargeback or payout hold issues.
Customer Experience and Returns
- Oversee the returns and exchanges platform and use return data to identify sizing and fit issues that can be fed back into production planning.
What You Bring
This role is best suited to someone with strong e-commerce operations experience, particularly in apparel, where sizing, production timing, and return behavior can be more complex.
Benefits and Compensation
- Competitive pay package
- Bonus tied to performance
- Health and dental coverage
- Clothing allowance and employee discount
