Role Summary

The Operations Manager position is a full-time, on-site role located in Houston, TX, responsible for managing daily warehouse and logistics functions. This includes overseeing receiving, storage, inventory management, and outbound shipment activities pertaining to tire and related products. The manager will organize staffing and workflows to guarantee safety, precision, and timely order fulfillment, while upholding standard operating procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including inventory control and shipping processes.
  • Coordinate workforce scheduling, workflows, and maintain safety protocols.
  • Monitor key operational metrics and manage relationships with vendors and carriers.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance processes and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Train and guide team members, enforce compliance and safety standards.
  • Support onboarding of new customers, products, and facility expansions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in operations management or logistics within industrial, automotive, or tire-related sectors.
  • Strong skills in inventory management, process optimization, and workflow planning.
  • Proficiency in warehouse and logistics systems such as WMS and ERP, plus data analysis for performance tracking.
  • Effective leadership abilities, including team supervision, coaching, conflict resolution, and performance evaluation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for coordination with internal teams, customers, and carriers.
  • Dedication to safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Capability to work physically on-site and adapt in a fast-growing environment.
  • Preferred background in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in launching or scaling new operational facilities or service lines is an advantage.
