Job description
Company Overview
Kingsway Consulting Group Inc. is a specialist consulting firm that helps organizations navigate the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program across Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. The firm works with businesses involved in innovation, technical research, and product development to identify and maximize eligible claims. Its support covers the full SR&ED journey, including assessment, documentation, and filing. The company emphasizes precision, compliance, and strong client service while serving clients of different sizes and industries.
Role Summary
The Operational Specialist position is a full-time remote opportunity focused on keeping SR&ED consulting operations running smoothly. You will coordinate everyday project activity, monitor progress, maintain reliable records, and help improve internal processes. The role involves working closely with consultants and clients to collect information, prepare supporting documentation, arrange meetings, and keep deliverables on schedule. You will also watch for workflow delays, suggest practical efficiency improvements, support basic reporting, and assist with internal tools and systems while aligning with the company’s service and compliance expectations.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operational tasks for SR&ED consulting engagements.
- Track project status, maintain accurate records, and make sure documentation stays organized and up to date.
- Work with consultants and clients to gather the information needed for claims and related deliverables.
- Prepare supporting materials and help schedule meetings and follow-ups.
- Monitor workflows, spot bottlenecks, and recommend ways to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Support basic reporting activities and assist with internal systems, tools, and process upkeep.
- Help maintain alignment with company standards for service quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
Suitable candidates should bring strong analytical ability, clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working with clients and internal teams in a professional setting. The role also calls for client support and sales coordination skills, including help with proposals, follow-ups, and relationship maintenance. Experience in operations coordination, workflow management, and project tracking is important, along with the ability to handle competing priorities in a remote work environment. Familiarity with spreadsheets, presentations, project-tracking platforms, or CRM tools is expected. A post-secondary background in business, operations, finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience. Exposure to consulting, tax incentives, or SR&ED work would be an advantage.
