Role overview
This position supports the purchase of indirect goods and services so that supply stays reliable across multiple locations. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to keep buying activity compliant, efficient, and on schedule in support of a life sciences environment.
What you will do
- Assess purchase requisitions and verify approval steps for indirect materials, services, and capital expenditure items where relevant.
- Raise and maintain purchase orders with approved vendors while ensuring policy adherence.
- Track order confirmations and coordinate with suppliers to help meet delivery timelines across sites.
- Review supplier performance and bring concerns to strategic buyers or category leads when needed.
- Encourage the use of approved digital procurement tools to improve speed and automation.
- Handle initial queries related to procurement, systems, and invoices.
- Reroute requisitions in line with agreed sourcing plans and instructions.
What you should bring
- Background in indirect procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
- Ability to juggle several priorities while supporting multiple stakeholders.
