Role overview
Boots Ireland is hiring an Online Fulfilment Assistant to join the in-store Boots.ie picking team in Dublin. In this role, you will be based in a Boots store and report to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager. Your day-to-day work will focus on selecting, packing, and dispatching customer orders, while also helping in the back shop, stock room, and with deliveries and stock control.
What the role involves
- Prepare customer online orders accurately and to a high standard using a handheld device.
- Gather the information needed to pick, pack, and send orders out.
- Find products across the store’s picking areas.
- Operate Pod equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow company procedures, policies, and all relevant legal, safety, and operational standards connected to online order fulfilment.
- Assist with broader store operations when needed.
Skills and experience needed
Training will be provided. To do well in this role, you should be comfortable with fast-paced, process-driven work and be able to solve problems as they arise. You will also need to work well with others, communicate clearly, listen carefully, and feel confident using digital tools such as handheld mobile devices. A strong focus on customer care is important, as there may be occasional support on the shop floor. Flexibility around working hours and shifts is also required.
Desirable experience
It is helpful, but not essential, to have prior experience in retail or warehouse operations, stock or inventory systems, or using handheld Pods and related IT tools.
Benefits
- Membership in the PRSA pension scheme.
- Partial paid maternity leave.
- Discretionary annual bonus.
- Staff discounts.
- Flexible benefits scheme.
