Job description

Role overview

Kinetica Sports is looking for a commercially sharp, entrepreneurial Online Channel Lead to steer the next stage of digital expansion across several markets and channels. Reporting to the CCO, this person will take full ownership of online profitability, shape growth strategy, and build a strong team culture based on accountability, creativity, and collaboration across functions.

The position covers the performance of the UK and Ireland storefronts as well as Amazon, with responsibility for ensuring that marketing, operations, and customer experience work in sync. The ideal candidate will be equally confident with strategic planning and practical delivery, turning business goals into scalable digital processes and measurable commercial outcomes.

What you will do

  • Take full responsibility for ecommerce performance, including revenue, margin, and customer KPIs.
  • Set and execute the ecommerce growth plan across acquisition, retention, onsite optimisation, CRM, trading, and performance marketing.
  • Use testing, experimentation, and data-led optimisation to improve results continuously.
  • Lead, coach, and energise a high-performing team while promoting trust, openness, and emotional intelligence.
  • Work closely with supply chain, finance, brand and marketing, operations, and senior leadership to deliver joined-up commercial outcomes.
  • Encourage an entrepreneurial approach by trialling new ideas, questioning assumptions, and spotting opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Manage ecommerce platforms, technology partners, and agency relationships to support scale and performance.
  • Stay current on ecommerce best practice, customer behaviour, and evolving digital trends.
  • Ensure customers receive a strong service experience by overseeing the customer service team, escalated issues, and CX metrics, and using those insights to improve retention and product direction.

Strategic focus areas

  • Conversion and website performance: Build and deliver a structured CRO roadmap aimed at lifting conversion rate, UX, and average order value.
  • Retention and lifetime value: Strengthen CRM and subscription activity, improve Klaviyo automation, reduce churn, and increase repeat purchasing to grow customer lifetime value.
  • Customer experience and fulfilment: Align operations, logistics, and customer service to improve fulfilment accuracy, delivery speed, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Agency and team leadership: Drive outcomes across paid media, SEO, email, and related channels while helping shape future in-house ecommerce and marketing team growth.
  • Commercial forecasting: Create SKU-level demand forecasting processes in partnership with finance and operations to support stock availability and predictable revenue planning.

Candidate profile

The role suits someone with ecommerce leadership experience, preferably in a fast-growing DTC or consumer brand environment. You should have a strong record of increasing revenue across multi-store or international Shopify Plus setups and Amazon, and be familiar with ecommerce trading, CRO, CRM, marketplaces, subscriptions, or performance marketing.

You will need strong commercial judgement, experience managing profitability and forecasting, and the ability to align sales planning with operational delivery. Emotional intelligence is important, as is the ability to influence others, coach teams, resolve conflict constructively, and build trust across the business.

Experience building and managing agency partnerships across areas such as paid media, SEO, creative, and logistics is essential, along with the ability to move between hands-on delivery and broader leadership. The environment is fast-moving, so adaptability and collaboration are key.

Technical skills and tools

  • Advanced knowledge of Shopify Plus, including apps and CRO approaches.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Amazon FBA model.
  • Advanced capability in Klaviyo, including flows, segmentation, and analytics, plus Recharge for subscriptions.
  • Practical experience with Gorgias, Reviews.io, Rebuy, and Convert.com or similar platforms.
  • Good understanding of GA4, Google Search Console, Tag Manager/Cloud Console, and event tracking best practice.
  • Comfort using analytics tools such as Elevar, Storehero, and Microsoft Clarity, along with reporting workflows.
  • Competence with project management and collaboration tools such as Monday.com or equivalent.
  • Awareness of algorithms, data analysis, machine learning, and how these influence ecommerce performance.
