Job description

Role overview

This part-time onboarding position is remote, with occasional onsite onboarding work in the Birmingham, Alabama area. The role focuses on helping new clients and/or employees move through onboarding smoothly, from the first introduction through complete adoption of services and systems.

What you will do

  • Collect the information and documents needed to begin onboarding.
  • Set up accounts, workflows, and related processes.
  • Work closely with internal HR, payroll, and benefits teams to keep onboarding moving.
  • Make sure compliance requirements and data standards are fully met.
  • Communicate with clients and internal partners, giving clear guidance and training where needed.
  • Handle questions and resolve issues that come up during the onboarding process.
  • Keep onboarding records accurate and up to date.
  • Track onboarding milestones and progress.
  • Suggest improvements that can make the onboarding experience better.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn trust across client and internal teams.
  • Hands-on experience supporting employee onboarding, including E-Verify.
  • Strong analytical ability to check information, spot problems, and maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
  • Comfort managing several onboarding assignments at once while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
  • Experience using Google email and Outlook email.
  • E-Verify knowledge is considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with standard office and collaboration tools such as spreadsheets, presentation software, and video conferencing platforms.
  • A demonstrated commitment to inclusion, confidentiality, and respectful teamwork with people from varied backgrounds.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
