Role Overview
The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for helping newly signed property managers launch successfully on the Whimstay platform and perform well after going live. This role oversees the journey after the contract is closed, including setup, launch, and the first 90 days of account management, with a strong emphasis on getting hosts their first bookings as quickly as possible.
This is a high-energy, customer-facing position that blends sales, account management, and operational coordination. The right person will be highly organized, comfortable handling a large number of accounts, confident using data to guide decisions, and driven to produce measurable outcomes through listing improvements, consultative conversations, and consistent follow-up.
Whimstay is a vacation rental marketplace focused on last-minute stays and discounted inventory that helps hosts earn incremental revenue while giving travelers a convenient booking experience through web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support new property managers from the moment the sale is closed through launch, validation of listing data, and go-live. You will also help solve technical issues by coordinating with internal engineering teams and software partners when needed.
You will continuously review and improve property listings so they are set up to convert well, including availability, ratings and reviews, location details, amenity information, images, and descriptions.
For the first 90 days after launch, you will actively manage accounts with the goal of increasing bookings, improving conversion, and supporting long-term host success.
You will also handle inbound inquiries and determine which leads should move through the sales process and which are ready for onboarding.
Success Measures
Success in this position means hosts are launched quickly and accurately, listings meet optimization standards, properties secure their first bookings within 30 to 60 days, hosts adopt recommendations that improve conversion, the onboarding pipeline stays organized, and onboarding-related escalations remain low.
Schedule
This is a Monday through Friday role, with occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage required as needed.
Compensation
The position offers a base salary of $50,000 and an expected on-target earnings level of $65,000+.
