Job description

About the Role

ezCater is a workplace food technology platform serving organizations across the United States. The platform helps businesses handle catering and meal needs by connecting them with a large nationwide restaurant network, supported by dependable service and scalable solutions for recurring programs as well as one-time events. Restaurant partners rely on the onboarding experience as their first introduction to the platform, and this role is central to making that experience accurate, smooth, and high quality.

As an Onboarding Specialist, you will be responsible for qualifying restaurant partners, setting up their accounts, and ensuring the information needed to launch is complete and precise. The work combines process discipline, direct communication, technology tools, transcription, and cross-functional coordination. You will help restaurants get live successfully while also contributing ideas to improve internal systems and onboarding workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Review new and existing catering partners through the partner-facing guided onboarding system and related automation tools, translating information into correctly created store records.
  • Handle several workstreams at once while balancing deadlines, stakeholder needs, and service-level expectations.
  • Apply onboarding standards consistently and explain the reasoning behind those requirements to both internal teams and restaurant partners.
  • Communicate directly with restaurants by phone and email, supporting both new partners and existing partners expanding their footprint on the marketplace.
  • Use an internal homegrown system to build out restaurant profiles and ensure account details are complete.
  • Check the output of automation tools and help maintain accuracy in the onboarding process.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders across teams to keep onboarding efforts aligned and moving forward.
  • Participate in project-based frameworks for larger restaurant onboarding rollouts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team tools and workflows, test ideas, and support the rollout of process changes.
  • Stay flexible, practical, and proactive while helping refine new processes as they are introduced.
  • Deliver work that directly supports company goals and the success of restaurant partners.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage many moving parts without losing accuracy.
  • Clear and confident communication skills for explaining processes, standards, and timelines.
  • Comfort with big-picture thinking and contributing ideas that help the team improve.
  • Willingness to adapt to change and keep improving processes when something is not working.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of varied tasks and prioritize them naturally.
  • Familiarity with technical services and software platforms; HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • A problem-solving mindset and comfort working through ambiguity.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5 days per quarter for team gatherings, Together Weeks, and similar events when needed.

Compensation and Notes

The employer does not sponsor work visas or legal permanent residence for applicants.

What You’ll Get

This position offers a challenging and high-performing environment with opportunities to grow, meaningful projects, and close collaboration with engaged colleagues. The company values work-life harmony and provides market-competitive pay, stock options, 12 paid holidays, flexible PTO, a 401(k) match, health, dental, and FSA benefits, long-term disability coverage, mental health and family planning resources, and a remote-hybrid setup that can be based from the Boston office, from home, or a mix of both. Additional benefits include a high degree of ownership and autonomy, strong teammates, and access to an employee meal program when working from the office.
