Considerate Group is hiring a part-time Office Administrator for a permanent position based in London. The role is set at 12 hours per week and reports to the CEO. It suits someone who enjoys keeping operations organised, supporting people-focused activities, and contributing to a growing sustainability business.
The company helps hospitality businesses improve sustainability performance through technology, advisory work, and strong service. As the organisation expands, this position will help keep the office running smoothly while also supporting a range of HR-related tasks such as onboarding, employee records, recruitment coordination, and wellbeing initiatives.
The working pattern is flexible, with up to 12 hours weekly, ideally spread across three half-days or an equivalent arrangement. The employer is open to discussing alternatives.

Key duties
- Prepare materials and support the agenda for quarterly Townhall meetings, including presenting a section on administrative and HR topics.
- Manage calendars and reminders for team meetings, training sessions, senior meetings, lunch-and-learn events, and similar activities.
- Run the quarterly performance appraisal process and feed outcomes into the annual operating plan.
- Organise quarterly team awards and help encourage a positive workplace culture through engagement activities.
- Keep holiday, office attendance, and lunch-and-learn records updated in Monday.com.
- Plan and coordinate the annual Away Day at a London venue, including slides, prizes, and activities.
- Arrange the Christmas drinks event.
- Maintain HR policies and procedures and update them in line with legal changes on an annual basis.
- Support annual compliance with employment law and regulations, including tasks such as DSE checks, with input from the Director.
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation.
- Coordinate payroll and benefits administration with the accountants.
- Support the full recruitment process with Director oversight.
- Manage onboarding for new hires so their start in the business is smooth and well organised.
- Provide ad hoc support to accounting, business development, and overseas travel arrangements as needed.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for an organised, proactive administrator who is comfortable working both independently and with wider teams. The successful candidate should be confident handling a mix of operational and people-related responsibilities, with the ability to contribute in a hands-on way while also providing strategic support where needed.

Essential experience and skills

- Familiarity with HR, accounting, and holiday-tracking tools commonly used by small and medium-sized businesses.
- Working knowledge of employment law and standard HR practice.
- Practical, delivery-focused approach with the ability to turn plans into action.
- Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating closely with directors and colleagues.

Terms and conditions
