Role overview

Stamford Grand Adelaide is looking for a reliable Night Auditor to become part of its Front Office team. This overnight position blends guest service, financial checking, and hotel operations, so the property continues to run effectively while most guests are asleep.

In this role, you will act as the hotel’s night-time representative, helping guests, checking the accuracy of financial records, and keeping overnight operations safe and orderly.

Employment details

  • Permanent full-time role
  • Rostered across a rotating 7-night schedule
  • Shift hours are 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
  • Based in Glenelg, in a central location

What the role involves

Reporting to the Front Office leadership team, the Night Auditor is central to reconciling the day’s financial activity while maintaining excellent guest service through the night. The position includes auditing, reporting, guest support, safety monitoring, and assistance across other operational areas when needed.

Core duties

  • Carry out the nightly audit and ensure hotel income and transactions are reconciled correctly.
  • Compile and share daily financial and operational reports.
  • Handle overnight guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Provide courteous service and resolve guest questions promptly and professionally.
  • Keep watch over safety, security, and emergency processes during the shift.
  • Maintain precise records and supporting documents for overnight operations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to keep hotel activity running smoothly.
  • Help with guest luggage and transport arrangements when necessary.
  • Assist Food and Beverage operations, including room service and guest requests.
  • Address operational problems and make sound decisions when senior leaders are unavailable.
