This opportunity is suited to an experienced Motor Assessor, or to a skilled Panel Beater or Automotive Spray Painter who is ready to move off the tools and into an assessment-focused role. There are multiple openings across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers region.
What you’ll do
In this position, you’ll report to the Motor Assessing Manager and take ownership of vehicle repair assessments. The main focus is to make sure repairs are safe, financially sensible, and completed within a timely manner, while following company policies and guidelines.
- Evaluate vehicle damage carefully and determine the safest, most cost-effective repair approach.
- Deliver professional service to customers over the phone and face to face.
- Carry out vehicle assessments in accordance with underwriting conditions and claims procedures.
- Prepare precise assessment documentation and negotiate repair scope and pricing.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with smash repair businesses and other relevant stakeholders.
What you need
A Certificate III in Panel Beating or Automotive Spray-Painting is mandatory. You should also be comfortable using computers and technology, and you may be asked to complete skills testing. This role suits someone who performs well in a busy, high-pressure environment and wants to grow with the business. Experience preparing damage repair quotes and estimates is preferred, though training will be provided. Applicants must be able to pass background checks and prove full working rights in Australia, as the role is within insurance.
Benefits and rewards
- Total remuneration can reach up to AUD 140,000, including base pay, superannuation, and a company car.
- Earn an additional performance bonus of up to 10% under the TFO scheme.
- Receive 8 weeks of paid training.
- A company phone plus a laptop or tablet is supplied.
- Enjoy extra leave, including one paid ME day and one paid volunteer day each year.
- You can buy up to two extra weeks of leave annually.
- Paid parental leave is included.
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities are available.
- Insurance discounts and employee perks are provided.
