About the Studio
DMS Creative Studio is the internal production and post-production team at DMS. The team handles projects from early concept through final delivery, with a focus on making standout video content that informs, entertains, inspires, and connects international audiences with client brands.
The studio has worked with major Hollywood film studios, independent distributors, television production companies, luxury labels, global sports bodies, and live entertainment brands. Its output spans TV advertising, digital promos, social-first formats, long-form documentaries, junkets, red-carpet content, virtual Q&As, and DOOH campaigns.
The wider team includes creative producers, creative directors, production managers, production assistants, motion graphics designers, and editors. The culture values energy, initiative, a positive attitude, and people who go further to support the group and deliver excellent work.
DMS is a full-service creative digital agency, using people, technology, and audience insight to help media, entertainment, sports, and lifestyle brands create, manage, localise, distribute, place, and measure content.
Role Overview
This role is for a Motion Graphics Designer to join the Creative Studio team in London.
You will produce premium-level designs and animations for marketing campaigns, working with the production and editing teams on projects for major film studios, independent distributors, Broadway and West End productions, sports organisations, and commercial brands.
The position calls for someone who can deliver creative work to brief, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with others. Because the team is in a period of growth, the ideal candidate will learn quickly, adapt fast, and stay composed under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and animate advanced motion content in both 2D and 3D.
- Create output for a variety of channels and deliverables, including social AV, broadcast promos, online promos, motion posters, thumbnails, digital display, and out-of-home media.
- Build original motion pieces from the ground up or adapt existing design material such as storyboards, title graphics, and branded toolkits.
- Manage several live projects at once while working to fast turnaround times.
- Partner with Creative Producers, Creative Directors, and Production Managers to align with client needs, priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
- Review and respond to internal as well as client feedback on creative work.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and assist new-business pitches with concept work and storyboarding.
- Report to the Head of Creative Services.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least 5 years of relevant experience producing 2D and 3D motion graphics in a creative agency, advertising agency, in-house studio, or post-production environment.
- A strong portfolio showing a broad mix of motion design work, including branded online content, digital out-of-home screens, TV spots, typography motion, and both 2D and 3D examples.
- Expert-level ability in Adobe After Effects, including Trapcode Suite, colour keying, rotoscoping, Mocha tracking, and Video Copilot Optical Flares.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong command of Cinema 4D.
- Confident use of AI-enabled creative workflows and generative production methods.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to speed up ideation, storyboarding, concept development, asset creation, image generation, video generation, animation, and broader production tasks.
- Experience preparing production-ready assets with tools such as Kling, Seedance, Nano-Banana, Midjourney, Runway, Veo, ChatGPT, and similar emerging platforms.
- Good understanding of prompt design, image-to-video processes, character consistency, style direction, and AI-assisted production techniques.
- Working knowledge of plugins and render tools such as Red Giant Universe and Sapphire.
- Basic familiarity with Premiere Pro.
- Strong compositing abilities, including keying, rotoscoping, cleanup, tracking, integration, and finishing.
- Solid graphic design foundations, including typography, layout, composition, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to quickly develop mood boards, style frames, storyboards, and visual concepts for pitches, treatments, and presentations.
- A creative mindset with interest in ideation, conceptual development, and storytelling through motion.
- Capacity to follow and apply strict brand guidelines accurately.
- Strong organisation and time management, with a track record of handling multiple projects and fast deadlines.
- Methodical approach and ability to learn internal processes quickly.
- Good creative judgement, with the ability to spot challenges, propose solutions, and explain ideas clearly to stakeholders.
- Team-oriented attitude, plus the confidence to work independently and own projects from start to finish.
- Excellent attention to detail and a habit of carefully checking work before submission.
- Fluent English and strong communication skills.
- A professional work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality output that supports the wider business.
