Role Summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the planning, execution, and supervision of M&E activities across POESSA projects. The role involves building and maintaining M&E frameworks, tracking indicators, and managing monitoring systems to measure program effectiveness. It also includes handling quantitative and qualitative data, producing analyses, and creating reports and dashboards for internal and external audiences.
Key Duties
This position works closely with project teams to uphold data quality, advise on data collection tools and methods, and contribute to learning exercises and evaluations. The officer will examine trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and use those findings to support program planning and strategic choices.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in M&E and system monitoring, including experience creating and using monitoring frameworks, indicators, and tools. Strong data management capability is needed, covering collection, cleaning, storage, and basic analysis with spreadsheets or data analysis software. The role also calls for strong analytical ability, clear and concise report writing, and the capacity to interpret information for different audiences. A degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies, public health, or a related discipline is required. Prior experience in program or project settings, especially in development, humanitarian, or social impact work, is preferred. The candidate should be well organized, able to manage time independently, and comfortable handling multiple remote tasks and deadlines.
