Millwright

Position Overview

Masco Canada is seeking a dedicated Millwright to join our team in St Thomas, Ontario. In this role, you will support the maintenance of our facility and production machinery, working diligently to reduce equipment downtime and ensure smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair production machinery efficiently
• Assist production teams with daily troubleshooting issues
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
• Rebuild and install equipment as needed
• Create fabrications when required
• Accurately complete maintenance work orders including hours and comments
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the maintenance department
• Participate in a two-week rotating shift schedule

Health and Safety Protocols

• Uphold a safe working environment at all times
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment on the shop floor
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations
• Engage in internal safety responsibilities including right to know, refuse, and participate
• Follow safe work and lockout/tagout procedures strictly
• Report hazardous conditions promptly to supervisors
• Ensure workspace remains clean and organized
• Comply with WHMIS 2015 safety standards
• Be prepared for potential annual medical surveillance

Qualifications

• Completion of O.S.S.D or equivalent educational credential
• Possession of an Industrial Millwright Red Seal License
• Certificate of Apprenticeship in Millwright trade
• Successful clearance of pre-employment tests
