An independent advisory firm in Sydney is looking to add an M&A Analyst to its growing team. The business advises founders, corporates, and private equity investors on mid-market mergers and acquisitions as well as strategic transactions. The role sits in a collaborative setting where analysts receive broad exposure to the full deal process and work directly with experienced senior advisors.
This is a hands-on opportunity to strengthen both technical and commercial skills while contributing to active transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with both buy-side and sell-side M&A assignments from start to finish.
- Develop and update financial models, including DCF and transaction analysis.
- Create client-facing documents such as teasers, information memorandums, and presentation materials.
- Carry out industry and company research to help shape transaction positioning and target outreach.
- Support due diligence work and help manage transaction data rooms.
- Work alongside senior team members on client interactions and deal execution.
Candidate Profile
- Ideally 1 to 3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, or Deal Advisory.
- Solid capability in financial modelling and valuation.
- Strong analytical ability and confident presentation skills.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
- A proactive mindset and a team-oriented approach.
What This Role Offers
Analysts in this position have the chance to contribute meaningfully to live transactions and gain early exposure to senior decision-makers. It is a strong fit for someone looking to build deep M&A execution experience in a supportive, high-performing environment.
