Job description
About the Organisation
The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) is the national employers’ representative body in Singapore. It speaks for more than 3,900 employers across sectors and plays a tripartite role alongside the National Trades Union Congress and the Ministry of Manpower.
SNEF is focused on helping organisations grow in a sustainable way through responsible employment practices. Its broader mission is to strengthen industrial and labour relations by promoting tripartism and sound employment practices, which supports long-term business stability.
Role Overview
This is a two-year executive-level, non-managerial contract position, with monthly salary plus incentives. The appointment may be extended yearly depending on performance.
The Membership Specialist will be responsible for expanding SNEF’s corporate membership base by managing the full recruitment journey, from identifying prospects to converting and retaining members. The role suits someone who performs well in a fast-moving B2B setting, can work independently, and still collaborates effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead membership recruitment efforts, nurture prospects through the entire engagement cycle, and help drive sustainable membership growth through target-focused execution. You will also build and manage a strong pipeline, using outreach, referrals, and industry events to source qualified leads and maintain accurate tracking at each stage.
In addition, you will review recruitment results and market trends to improve outreach approaches, prepare periodic KPI updates with practical recommendations, and support team initiatives or other assignments from the reporting officer as needed.
Working Arrangements and Conditions
This role is based onsite in Paya Lebar, East Region, Singapore. Flexibility is required for weekend work and for hours beyond the usual office schedule when necessary. Time off in lieu will be granted where applicable.
Monthly remuneration is supplemented by incentives. The role is offered as a two-year contract, with the possibility of annual extension subject to performance.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should bring relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or client engagement, along with a proven record of meeting or surpassing sales targets. A strong sales orientation, the ability to spot opportunities, and confidence in closing deals are important for success in this role.
You should be self-motivated, results-driven, able to work on your own, and also comfortable contributing within a team. The role also calls for the ability to influence senior stakeholders such as C-suite leaders and HR professionals.
Experience in an industry association, trade body, or membership-based organisation will be an advantage. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
Organisation Context
This position sits within an organisation that values responsible employment, tripartism, and the strengthening of labour-management relations. The Membership Specialist contributes directly to these goals by growing and maintaining the federation’s corporate membership community.
