Role overview
This position is for a massage therapist at a hotel spa in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on delivering high-quality wellness treatments to guests, supporting a calm and professional spa environment, and representing the brand’s commitment to guest wellbeing and service excellence.
Core duties
- Provide massage services to guests using appropriate tools, accessories, and spa products.
- Deliver body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy sessions.
- Check guest needs before treatment and ask about any conditions or contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy.
- Stay current with modern massage techniques and treatment methods relevant to the role.
- Escort guests to and from treatment rooms when needed.
- Prepare the workstation, treatment room, and linens before and after services.
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure comfort and safety throughout the treatment.
- Promote spa and salon services, including retail products connected to the spa experience.
- Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and equipment.
- Keep the work area and treatment room clean during the shift, dispose of waste and used linens, and store supplies and equipment at the end of the day.
- Follow the planned schedule throughout the day and manage time efficiently.
- Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to standard operating procedures, up to stopping a treatment if needed and informing a supervisor or manager.
- Keep licenses and service skills current as required by regional rules.

- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Protect confidential company information and company property.
- Welcome and assist every guest in line with company standards.
- Recognize guest needs proactively and respond to them with sincerity.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Physical requirements
The job requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking. It also involves handling objects of different sizes and weights, including lifting, moving, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing items under 10 lbs (4.5 kg) without assistance. Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor control are needed for precise handling tasks.
Education and experience
A technical, trade, or vocational school certificate is preferred. At least 1 year of related work experience is required, and prior supervisory experience is not necessary.
Mandatory credential
A state or regional massage license or certification is required.
