Job description
About the company
Forbidden Foods, the company behind BRB Popped Chips, is building a mass-premium, better-for-you snacking brand for urban Gen-Z consumers in India. Its core product, Popped Chips, comes in Potato, Rice, and Corn options and is made without frying or baking, aiming to balance taste with a healthier profile. The brand portfolio also includes BRB Shortcuts (Peanut Butter Wafers) and BRB NoNo's (Baked Toasties).
BRB products are sold through quick commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Instamart, and Zepto, as well as Amazon, modern trade, vending machines, corporate channels, and HORECA. The company is a fast-scaling startup based in Gurugram.
About the role
This is a practical, execution-heavy position where you will report to the Marketing Manager and manage BRB's everyday social media execution along with on-ground sampling activations. The role combines content coordination, creator and agency management, and experiential marketing. It is suited to someone who enjoys working on social platforms, engaging with influencers, and being present at events.
Key focus areas
- Managing BRB's social media ecosystem end to end, including content planning, agency coordination, influencer partnerships, brand collaborations, community engagement, and boosted content across Instagram and YouTube.
- Planning and delivering sampling and brand-experience activities at colleges, music festivals, and corporate offices, with an emphasis on product trial and live content capture.
Responsibilities
- Run the content calendar for Instagram and YouTube, coordinate with creators and agencies, review creative output against brand standards, and ensure timely publishing.
- Source, reach out to, and maintain relationships with influencers and creators who match BRB's audience, while managing briefs, deliverables, timelines, and brand alignment.
- Act as the daily point of contact for content and creative agencies, handle briefs, share feedback, monitor delivery schedules, and escalate blockers to the Marketing Manager when needed.
- Track and respond to comments and direct messages across social channels, monitor trends, and surface relevant content or community opportunities.
- Plan and support sampling activations at colleges, music festivals, and offices, including logistics, setup, brand experience, and live content capture on site.
- Measure and report social and event performance metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, influencer outputs, footfall, and samples distributed, and share weekly updates with the Marketing Manager.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, content, or brand-related work.
- Practical experience handling a brand's social media presence, not only personal accounts.
- Previous involvement with influencers or content creators.
- Exposure to on-ground events or experiential campaigns is a strong advantage.
- Background in FMCG, food and beverage, or youth-focused brands is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram features such as Reels, Stories, collaborations, trends, and boosting.
- Ability to craft concise, on-brand captions and clear creative briefs.
- Comfort in managing several external partners at once, with strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in Gen-Z culture, including trends, memes, music, and food.
- Willingness to be on site for events, including occasional weekends.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to spot opportunities early and raise issues before they grow.
- Collaborative approach and ease in working with internal teams and outside partners.
Additional information
