Role Overview
Edcetera is hiring a full-time remote Marketing Communications Specialist to join its marketing communications function. The role focuses on planning, building, and improving communications across email, organic social, and other campaign channels for several brands operating in regulated spaces.
This position is central to how the company communicates with its audiences every day. The specialist will turn strategy into polished, accurate, and on-brand messaging while helping keep communication consistent across channels and brands. Success in this role requires strong writing ability, careful attention to detail, excellent organization, and comfort juggling multiple priorities.
Core Responsibilities
- Run communication campaigns across email, organic social media, and other owned channels.
- Convert marketing plans into practical campaign builds and clear messaging.
- Support launches, promotions, product rollouts, and lifecycle marketing efforts across multiple brands.
- Keep campaign schedules up to date for promotions, launches, and licensing timelines.
Email Marketing
- Create, test, deploy, and quality-check email campaigns, including promotional, lifecycle, transactional, and newsletter sends.
- Draft and refine email content such as subject lines, calls to action, and body copy.
- Set up segmentation and personalization based on audience behavior, lifecycle stage, and other targeting inputs.
- Maintain email templates and ensure brand consistency across business lines.
- Track deliverability, list quality, and audience performance.
Social Media Execution
- Plan, write, publish, and manage organic social content on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Support social campaigns that connect to larger marketing goals.
- Write captions, hooks, and calls to action for social posts.
- Adapt content to fit each platform while preserving brand voice and clarity.
- Maintain social calendars tied to promotions, launches, and licensing cycles.
- Monitor audience engagement and respond or escalate when needed.
- Coordinate with design partners to produce visual assets that support campaign objectives.
Content, Compliance, and Accuracy
- Turn complex product, licensing, and regulatory details into simple, audience-friendly messaging.
- Make sure communications remain accurate, compliant, and consistent with brand standards.
- Keep tone, voice, and positioning aligned across all channels.
- Work with compliance and product teams to confirm course details, approvals, and required disclosures.
- Ensure communications satisfy licensing board, accreditor, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation that is ready for audit review.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and update messaging as needed.
Performance and Optimization
- Track and report on key metrics for email and social, including opens, engagement, click-throughs, and conversions.
- Help test variations in subject lines, messaging, and campaign structure.
- Look for ways to improve engagement, conversion, and overall campaign results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing strategy, product, compliance, and creative teams to execute campaigns effectively.
- Work with design to make sure communications are visually strong and accessible.
- Coordinate across brands to keep campaign execution timely and accurate.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, along with 2 to 4 years of experience in email marketing or a regulated environment. Background in education, licensing, or compliance-focused industries is preferred.
Applicants should bring strong writing and editing skills, high attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and audiences, familiarity with email tools such as HubSpot or similar platforms, and the ability to simplify complex information into clear messaging. Strong organization, project management ability, and comfort in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting are also important.

Pay starts at $55,000 and will be aligned with experience.
