Role overview

A respected London law firm is hiring a Marketing Assistant to join its Marketing and Business Development function. This position offers a strong entry point for someone who wants practical exposure to legal marketing, business development, communications and event coordination.

The team is expanding, and the role has been created to add support across a wide variety of everyday activities. The firm is known for its strong standing in the market, its high-quality client portfolio and a friendly, collaborative working environment.

You will report to the Head of Marketing and Business Development and work closely with the wider team, supporting both routine operations and project-based tasks. The position is broad, hands-on and well suited to someone who is organised, adaptable and eager to develop.

What the role involves

Your day-to-day work will include supporting legal directory submissions, formatting and reviewing documents, drafting emails, preparing agendas, recording meeting minutes and helping with event delivery.

You will also assist with practical event tasks such as preparing name badges and promotional items, handling client sign-in at firm events, maintaining contact records and helping manage data accurately.

In addition, you will contribute to the firm’s monthly newsletter, schedule meetings, help manage diaries, arrange meeting spaces, research venues for events and support internal events planning.

The role extends to social media support, upkeep of internal resources, gathering website and event metrics, competitor research and general administrative assistance for the Head of Marketing and Business Development and the broader team.

Candidate profile
