Job description
About the Role
Mountain Mile is a 174-acre destination in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, featuring retail, dining, and entertainment. The team is looking for a Marketing & Community Manager who can represent the brand digitally and in person, helping shape how the property is seen by guests, tenants, partners, and the local community.
This position is ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional who enjoys creating content, building relationships, and being present on site to capture and share what is happening in real time. The role blends marketing execution with community engagement and requires someone who brings ideas forward, works independently, and takes ownership of outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Set the marketing direction across channels and create monthly content plans tied to campaigns, events, and seasonal priorities.
- Produce original content, with a strong focus on short-form video for Instagram and TikTok, much of it captured live on property using a mobile-first approach.
- Plan, launch, and manage paid advertising campaigns on Meta and Google.
- Handle daily online community interaction, including comments, direct messages, and brand reputation monitoring, while sharing useful insights with leadership.
- Measure and analyze performance indicators such as engagement, reach, growth, and conversions, then use the findings to improve campaigns and content.
- Stay aware of emerging trends and platform changes to keep the brand relevant and visible throughout the season.
- Develop relationships with tenants by highlighting their businesses, offerings, and experiences.
- Act as a liaison with local partners and stakeholders in the Pigeon Forge tourism and events ecosystem.
- Lead influencer outreach and partnership coordination, including visits, deliverables, and return-on-investment tracking.
- Create sponsorship and community partnership opportunities that expand the property’s presence.
- Serve as an on-the-ground and online brand presence during events, activations, and important property moments.
- Work with the team to plan and deliver major events such as Kickoff to Summer, Jeep Invasion, Oktoberfest, and Christmas at Mountain Mile, with increasing ownership over time.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience leading marketing strategy, preferably in social media or digital marketing.
- Strong ability to create compelling video, photo, and written content, especially short-form video.
- Practical experience managing paid campaigns on Meta and Google.
- Comfort using social media management and analytics tools, along with a data-driven approach to creative decisions.
- Excellent organization and project management skills for coordinating content, campaigns, partnerships, and events.
- A self-motivated mindset with the confidence to bring ideas, energy, and ownership to the role.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with the Pigeon Forge or Sevier County market, or experience marketing entertainment-focused developments.
- Nice-to-have: background working with consumer-facing brands in hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle.
- Nice-to-have: bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a closely related discipline.
- Regular on-site presence is required, including attendance at events; the role follows a hybrid schedule.
- The position reports to ownership and works closely with the Mountain Mile team day to day.
Eligibility
Applicants should be experienced marketing professionals who are comfortable combining digital marketing, content creation, and community relations. The role is best suited to candidates who can work on site regularly in Pigeon Forge, collaborate across teams, and independently manage a fast-moving mix of marketing, partnerships, and events.
Additional Information
This is a full-time role based in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, with a hybrid schedule and required in-person presence for events and on-property work. The company expects the person in this position to be a visible, active representative of the brand within the community and on site.
