Role Overview

The Junior Technician in Manufacturing is a technical and clerical support role designed to help maintain smooth production operations while building hands-on expertise. The position contributes to equipment upkeep, supports continuity in daily operations, and takes part in learning and development activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support technical activities while learning practical skills and applying them in day-to-day work.
  • Help maintain equipment and systems so operations continue without interruption.
  • Work alongside senior technicians on assigned technical initiatives and projects.
  • Take part in training programs to strengthen technical knowledge and capability.
  • Carry out assigned technical duties efficiently and contribute to team output.
  • Follow safety rules, cGMP requirements, operating procedures, and workplace standards at all times.
  • Coordinate tasks with colleagues to keep workflow efficient and reduce operational delays.
  • Work according to approved SOPs, protocols, and instructions.
  • Operate, observe, and maintain equipment to support reliable performance.
  • Capture operational information and escalate equipment faults or quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance work to reduce downtime.
  • Help with installation, diagnosis, and repair of equipment and systems when directed.
  • Support process improvement efforts and maintain proper documentation practices.
  • Track inventory accurately and ensure stock levels are sufficient for operational requirements.
  • Assist with quality control checks by testing products or processes at different stages to meet compliance expectations.
  • Arrange materials, tools, and work areas to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Perform other tasks and support initiatives as assigned by supervisors.
  • Carry out routine manufacturing duties in line with approved production procedures.
  • Operate production machinery under supervision while maintaining safety and output standards.
  • Prepare raw materials and components to keep production moving smoothly.
  • Inspect product units during production to detect defects and confirm basic quality standards.
  • Clean and sanitize production spaces and equipment according to GMP and hygiene rules.
  • Maintain accurate production records to support batch traceability and operational documentation.

Requirements

  • A diploma in a relevant discipline or a high school qualification is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Up to 3 years of experience is required.
  • English proficiency is required.
  • Arabic proficiency is preferred.

Working Relationships

Internal: The role involves participating in team meetings, joining training sessions, contributing to process improvement discussions, and supporting colleagues through collaboration and troubleshooting.

External: The position may involve coordinating with clients for support, communicating with vendors, attending professional development workshops, and engaging with industry networks and forums.
