Job description
About Block Labs
Block Labs is a high-end technology studio focused on building at the frontier of Web3, artificial intelligence, and iGaming. The team creates large-scale, production-ready platforms that support modern digital products rather than just delivering isolated features.
The company is made up of experienced engineers, product thinkers, and builders who place strong emphasis on architecture and long-term product quality. Its work spans autonomous multi-agent AI systems, decentralized financial infrastructure, and high-throughput iGaming platforms, all built to a consistently high standard.
Block Labs values speed, but not at the expense of maintainability. The environment suits people who want to work with technically strong teammates, care about thoughtful system design, and take real ownership of product outcomes.
About the Role
The quality team is growing, and Block Labs is hiring a QA Tester to strengthen manual testing coverage. In this position, you will partner with QA Leads and engineering teams to run test plans, perform regression checks, and help confirm that gaming and crypto payment products are ready for production.
This is a practical manual testing role with room to grow as the team expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out manual test scenarios on both web and mobile products, including functional checks, smoke tests, and regression testing.
- Run regression packs before releases and document defects with precise reproduction steps and severity ratings.
- Re-test fixes and confirm that changes do not create new issues in connected areas of the product.
- Work with QA Leads and developers to clarify requirements, resolve unclear points, and keep coverage aligned with acceptance criteria.
- Keep test documentation updated so test cases stay accurate as features change.
- Join sprint ceremonies and provide timely updates on testing progress, risks, and blockers.
- Use exploratory testing to identify unusual cases, usability gaps, and issues that scripted tests may not cover.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has 1 to 3 years of manual software testing experience, preferably in gaming, fintech, or payments environments.
You should be comfortable testing across web and mobile interfaces, and be able to adapt quickly to new product areas. Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing tools such as BrowserStack is an advantage.
A sharp eye for detail is important, along with the ability to notice inconsistencies, edge cases, and usability problems that may otherwise be missed.
You should be able to write structured bug reports that clearly include steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, and supporting proof such as screenshots or logs.
Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail, Testmo, or similar platforms is considered a plus.
Basic experience with developer tools, including browser DevTools and API testing tools such as Postman, will help with troubleshooting and defect investigation.
Experience with real-time gaming systems, multiplayer products, or digital entertainment platforms is strongly preferred. Exposure to blockchain or crypto payments is an added advantage.
Strong written and spoken English is required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and work asynchronously.
The role also calls for a proactive mindset, accountability for assigned testing tasks, and the confidence to raise risks or blockers early.
Team Culture
The culture is mature, mission-oriented, and low-ego. The team values clarity over noise, meaningful outcomes over performance, and strong pace without unnecessary chaos.
This environment is best suited to people who are highly skilled in their craft and enjoy building alongside other experts.
