About the role
This position is focused on running and administering public-sector and government sales policies, programs, and operating practices in line with agreed guidelines, market norms, and proven methods. The role supports the wider business objective of becoming the preferred partner for government customers by delivering complete solutions and driving sustainable revenue growth.
What you will do
- Support Public Sector Account Managers in delivering the VBU objective of becoming the preferred partner for government customers through end-to-end solution support.
- Design and execute public-sector sales plans for central government bodies, ministries, and government agencies to help achieve target revenue.
- Identify fresh opportunities while also growing business within current government accounts to expand share of wallet.
- Provide full tender and proposal support to Key Account Managers across regions, including preparation and submission.
- Act as the main contact point for key government stakeholders and help strengthen relationships with internal and external partners during important government events.
- Recommend complete, end-to-end solutions that address complex needs in the public sector.

- Understands the government digitization agenda and related technical context.

Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, marketing, or an equivalent field is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales or relationship management within public or government telecom accounts.
- Strong commercial thinking and sales capability are essential.
- Experience in telecommunications is an added advantage.
- Background in public sales and customer service, with proven skill in government procurement and tender processes, is preferred.
- Strong negotiation capability is considered beneficial.
