About the role
This position focuses on building stronger leaders, improving how the organization operates, and supporting talent-related outcomes across the business. You will work closely with HR to run performance management, talent management, and succession planning processes, while helping create solutions that are practical, scalable, and useful across the company.
Parallel is a large multi-state cannabis organization operating across Florida (Surterra Wellness), Massachusetts (NETA), and Texas (Goodblend). What you will do
- Improve organizational effectiveness through org design, workforce planning, and clearer role definition.
- Own and enhance the company-wide performance management process.
- Run talent reviews, 9-box calibration sessions, and development planning activities.
- Support succession planning and build bench strength for key roles.
- Create and deliver leadership development initiatives, including a high-potential program.
- Prepare learning resources, playbooks, and supporting materials.
- Monitor and present metrics related to performance, talent, and leadership development.
- Assist the Head of HR with preparation for monthly business reviews.
- Contribute to organizational change efforts across the business.
Experience and qualifications
The role requires candidates who are at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma or an equivalent credential, and have a valid government-issued photo ID. A background of 5 to 8+ years in organizational development, talent, learning and development, or HR business partner roles is expected. Hands-on experience with performance management and talent reviews is important, along with strong facilitation, program design, influence, and partnership skills.
Physical requirements
- You must be able to stay in a stationary position for periods of time.
- There may be a need to help lift stock and other materials.
- Routine use of common office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers is part of the role.
- At times, you may need to position yourself to retrieve products or materials in the store, including reaching shelving in a storage area.
