Role Summary
The Manager of Operations will be responsible for overseeing internal day-to-day operations in a fully remote, full-time capacity. The position involves managing workflows, improving processes, and coordinating activity across consulting projects. The role also includes helping build and implement operational systems, monitoring performance indicators, and suggesting improvements that raise efficiency and service quality. In addition, the manager will work alongside consultants and leadership to plan resources, keep project timelines on track, and make sure client deliverables are completed as expected.
Key Duties
- Lead daily internal operations and keep workflow moving smoothly.
- Review current processes and design better ways of working to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate tasks and communication across consulting assignments.
- Develop and support operational procedures and working standards.
- Track performance measures and use findings to recommend improvements.
- Work with consultants and leaders to allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor project schedules and help ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare reports on operational activity and performance.
- Assist with budget-related administration and monitoring.
- Maintain organized documentation and operational records.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of tools, systems, and methods used in client service delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Background in operations management, project coordination, or business administration, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Practical knowledge of process improvement, workflow structuring, and KPI-based performance tracking.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with the skill to turn information into actionable recommendations.
- Clear communication and strong stakeholder-management abilities, especially in remote collaboration settings.
- Comfortable using digital tools for remote work such as project management software, shared documents, video meetings, and basic data analysis tools.
- Able to handle several priorities, stay organized, and work to deadlines with little direct supervision.
- Familiarity with the needs of small and medium-sized businesses; consulting or SME experience is considered an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, or a related subject; professional certifications are an added advantage.
