Major Fill Operations Specialist

Role overview

This full-time onsite role in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand sits within Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand. The role focuses on keeping an assigned process stream running smoothly, maintaining stock flow, and ensuring store standards are consistently met during evening operations.

Roster

The roster pattern listed for this position runs from Tuesday to Saturday, with working hours from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

What you will be doing

• Oversee the flow of work within your assigned stream so tasks are completed efficiently and in the right sequence.
• Work closely with the Team Leader and the wider team to keep operations moving without interruption.
• Make sure all process steps are completed correctly and in line with the required guidelines.
• Handle operations and stock routines accurately and on time, guiding the team to fill shelves and receive deliveries to the expected standard.
• Support on-the-job learning by coaching team members and helping build a safe and healthy workplace.
• Check that evening replenishment meets the required store standards, including the use of shelf-friendly packaging and the management of excess stock.
• Escalate workflow or process issues promptly to the Function Lead so they can be resolved quickly.
• Take on Acting Store Manager responsibilities during scheduled shifts when needed and participate in Better Together connections to strengthen collaboration across the team.

• Confidence in leading people by assigning work, tracking progress, coaching, giving feedback, and keeping the team motivated.
• Solid understanding of compliance requirements within the function, along with clear and effective communication skills.

• Availability to work four weekend shifts each month and at least one evening shift every week.
