Maintenance Technician - Plumbing

Job Purpose

The MST Technician for plumbing works across assigned properties to carry out preventive upkeep, corrective repairs, and emergency response related to plumbing and hydraulic systems. The position is focused on delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix complicated plumbing and hydraulic faults at different locations under your coverage.
• Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective servicing for equipment such as pumps, expansion vessels, and water storage tanks.
• Respond to plumbing and mechanical breakdowns and participate in on-call support whenever required.
• Spot opportunities to improve plumbing and mechanical systems and share recommendations with the Operations Manager.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities completed by the Maintenance Team.
• Guide and train operations and maintenance colleagues on technical matters.
• Keep clear records of emergency response actions, maintenance tasks, tools and parts needed, and job completion reports.
• Follow all health and safety rules and site procedures without exception.
• Take on additional duties assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

A diploma or professional certificate in Mechanical Systems is required. A valid UAE driving licence is also required, and a health and safety qualification is an added advantage.

Experience

The role requires at least 6 years of experience working as a plumber in building maintenance, property management, or facilities management environments. Candidates should have solid practical knowledge of plumbing installations, pumps, control panel boards, hydraulics, water distribution, water tanks, and water quality control systems, along with the ability to handle complex systems confidently.

Successful candidates should bring strong knowledge of plumbing installations, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, control panels, and water filtration systems. They should also be organized, cooperative, proactive, and capable of solving problems independently while working well with technical teams and communicating effectively.
