Work Location

This role is based at Kerry’s Calhoun, Georgia facility, which operates within the Meat division and supports a wide range of products for Kerry and retail customers. The team is looking for someone who can help keep operations moving and is interested in growing a career in manufacturing with a collaborative and upbeat environment.

Shift Details

This is an immediate opening for a night-shift Maintenance Technician. The schedule follows a rotating 2-2-3 pattern, with work hours from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM. Initial training will take place on the day shift for at least the first 2 to 3 months.

Role Overview

You will partner with the Maintenance team to carry out building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting, assigned work orders, and urgent repairs efficiently. The role also involves supporting good manufacturing practices, managing inventory, completing preventive maintenance, maintaining housekeeping standards, and following all safety and environmental requirements. Key Duties

  • Perform cleaning and lubrication of shafts, bearings, gears, and other machine components.
  • Install and service pipe systems, hydraulic systems, steam systems, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and similar equipment.
  • Handle building upkeep tasks such as minor plumbing, welding, and general maintenance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of general maintenance experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience with automation controls.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment is required, and experience in food or beverage manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory; an associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following areas is expected: stainless steel welding/fabrication, sanitary welding certification, piping systems, electricity, PLCs, process control instrumentation, HVAC systems, process equipment, and personal computing.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour. Kerry generally does not bring candidates in at the top end of the range, as the company uses a pay-for-performance approach and the range is intended to support future performance-based increases. Final compensation depends on the specific circumstances of each candidate, including skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with company and employee contribution opportunities, an Employee Share Plan, life insurance, disability insurance, accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
