Job description

Role Overview

Goltens Worldwide is hiring a Logistics Assistant in Singapore to support supply chain and transport operations. The role reports to the Manager – Supply Chain and focuses on shipment handling, transport coordination, record accuracy, and day-to-day logistics support.

Key Duties

  • Support the handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, including packing activities and loading or unloading goods using a forklift, where the required forklift licence is held.
  • Provide administrative support for daily transport operations.
  • Help with delivery and collection tasks whenever required.
  • Support the Transport/Logistics Supervisor as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and outside parties to keep transport arrangements running smoothly.
  • Respond to enquiries and requests from internal customers.
  • Plan, allocate, and monitor trucking resources to support on-time delivery and collection.
  • Prepare daily and overtime staff roster planning.
  • Supervise a pool of drivers and manage their day-to-day movement.
  • Handle issues related to transport delivery and collection.
  • Prepare documents needed for relevant declarations at the respective port destination.
  • Keep delivery and collection records accurate in the system.
  • Support audits for ISO standards connected to the transportation function.
  • Assist with housekeeping duties in the open storage area.
  • Follow the company’s environment, health, and safety policy at all times and place safety and health first for self and co-workers.
  • Take on other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills

  • ITE or Diploma in Logistics, Business Management, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and generally computer-literate.
  • Must hold a valid Class 3 driving licence.
  • Must hold a valid forklift driving licence.
  • Should demonstrate accountability and a constructive work attitude.
  • Must be able to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Needs to work independently, professionally, and efficiently.
  • Should have a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical, planning, execution, and problem-solving abilities are important.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are needed.
  • Should be a dependable team player with integrity, strong organisation, and good time management.
  • Experience or familiarity with the Marine, Offshore, or Oil & Gas industry is preferred.

The role is based in Singapore and sits within the Supply Chain Management department. The position supports both transport and logistics operations and may involve other tasks as assigned by management.
