Position Overview
The Loan Officer Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting mortgage loan officers at CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC (“CCM”) to enhance loan production. This position involves direct interaction with CCM customers, loan officers, and processors, ensuring a positive client experience and contributing to the timely closing of loans.
Job Responsibilities
- Review mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation, which may involve phone and computer tasks, printing, copying, scanning, emailing, and arranging for document delivery.
- Present mortgage loan disclosure packages to borrowers.
- Generate and deliver rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages to borrowers.
- Examine documents and complete loan files, proactively identifying and reporting deficiencies to the mortgage loan officer and/or loan processor to prevent potential issues.
- Obtain and clarify necessary information from borrowers via phone and email.
- Provide general administrative and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors as required.
- Collaborate with management to offer assistance in various lending and processing stages.
- Manage a loan pipeline that includes conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, as well as 203K and reverse mortgage products.
- Deliver property appraisals and/or valuations to borrowers and secure proof of receipt.
- Monitor outstanding items for all loan files and follow up with customers to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Coordinate with Title Companies and customers to schedule loan closings, ensuring a prompt process.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the mortgage industry, including direct customer interaction.
- Prior sales support experience is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
- Strong skills in prioritization and time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
