Role overview
The Linen Technician supports hospital linen operations by delivering and collecting patient linen and related supplies for nursing units in line with set procedures, proper handling methods, and universal precautions. This role also involves keeping inventory at the correct PAR level across patient areas and maintaining accurate computerized records for linen and materials.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $18.78 to $36.78 per hour.
Shift
Evening shift with rotating weekends and holidays.
Key duties
- Keep linens available for departments and issue supplies when needed.
- Maintain PAR inventory levels in assigned locations.
- Record linen and material inventory in the computer system as required.
- Carry out tasks accurately and in accordance with hospital and department policies.
- Handle soiled linen collection and disposal using approved universal precautions and procedures.
- Rotate linen across the department and nursing units on a weekly schedule to support quality standards.
- Keep the work area neat and organized, including breaking down boxes, disposing of waste, and using supplies correctly.
- Maintain PAR levels for emergency or disaster carts before and during scheduled use.
Education and experience
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Skills and knowledge
The job requires basic math skills and the ability to enter inventory details into a computer system.
