Role Overview
This position sits within Siemens’ UAE corporate team in Dubai and focuses on regulatory strategy, licensing, and technical regulation work. The role bridges government engagement, compliance oversight, and support for international operations, making it both strategically important and operationally hands-on.
The company is seeking a bilingual professional with strong local connections who can manage the full licensing and regulatory environment for a major technology organization in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute the UAE approach for Technical Regulations & Standardization, ensuring it aligns with Siemens’ wider global framework.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of licensing and related compliance tasks, including new applications, renewals, amendments, permits, company classification matters, and ICV certification activities across federal and local bodies.
- Serve as the primary liaison for UAE authorities on licensing, permits, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Track regulatory updates in advance and convert new requirements into practical action plans before deadlines become urgent.
- Review internal compliance processes regularly and recommend stronger, scalable ways of working.
- Prepare consolidated reports for senior leadership on TR&S compliance status across the region.
Candidate Profile
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, with strong spoken and written communication skills, as these are required for government-facing interactions.
- At least 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, government relations, licensing, or another compliance-focused role in the UAE or broader region.
- Established relationships with UAE federal and local authorities, such as MOEI, DED, Municipality, and Police Departments.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE e-government systems and smart government applications.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to identify issues and resolve them independently.
Work Setup and Offer
- Hybrid work arrangement with 2–3 remote days each week.
- Direct reporting line to the CEO of Siemens Industrial LLC.
- Access to structured learning and development programs with clear career growth opportunities.
- An inclusive and diverse workplace culture where individual input is valued.
