About the Role
This opportunity is for a remote, entry-level legal assistant supporting a client’s legal operations from within the United States. The position centers on keeping legal work organized, managing case files and records, helping with communication flow, and backing up the team with administrative and compliance-related tasks.
The role is well suited to someone who is methodical, well-organized, and interested in developing a career in legal support, compliance, legal operations, or corporate administration. You will partner with legal professionals and internal teams to help prepare documents, coordinate case-related activity, produce reports, and handle day-to-day support work.
Compensation
The annual pay for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000, with the final offer depending on experience, communication ability, organizational strengths, and the client’s hiring requirements. Any additional pay elements and benefit specifics will be discussed later in the hiring process.
Key Duties
- Draft, arrange, and keep legal paperwork and records in order
- Manage electronic filing and document control systems
- Handle scheduling and communications connected to legal work
- Support contract paperwork and compliance documentation
- Monitor deadlines and administrative legal tasks
- Help review documents and prepare reports
- Safeguard confidential information with care
- Assist with intake activities and case coordination
- Create summaries and routine administrative reports
- Work with internal teams and outside stakeholders as needed
- Keep legal databases and records current
- Support special assignments and operational initiatives
Candidate Profile
The preferred background includes a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is an advantage. The client is open to applicants with 0 to 2 years of experience in administration, customer service, legal support, or operations.
Strong writing and speaking skills, solid organization, good time management, attention to detail, and accuracy are important. You should be comfortable using basic computer tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, able to balance several priorities, and capable of working independently in a remote setting. A professional, reliable, and service-focused attitude is expected.
