Role Overview
The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for delivering and facilitating training programs for employees and business partners. This includes managing instructor-led and virtual sessions and fostering a culture of continuous learning. The role involves identifying training needs, partnering with subject matter experts, ensuring necessary system access for training sessions, and contributing to developing enterprise solutions that enhance skill sets across the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Craft, develop, and manage engaging instructor-led and e-learning courses rooted in adult learning principles.
- Offer train-the-trainer assistance, including course design, facilitation, and expert consultation.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on adult learning theories, cutting-edge learning technologies, and evaluation techniques.
- Lead organization-wide employee engagement surveys, including data analysis and strategy formulation based on findings.
- Plan and deliver onboarding, orientation, and skills development programs tailored for employees.
- Present learning material through diverse formats such as discussions, lectures, online modules, articles, simulations, and multimedia.
- Collaborate with various departments to align and facilitate essential job-specific training programs.
- Serve as a liaison with site partners, recommending suitable training courses, curricula, and delivery methods.
- Design, develop, execute, and appraise training content and programs to ensure effectiveness.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline with a minimum of two years' experience in a learning-focused environment, or a similar combination of education and experience.
- Deep knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design, and diverse training methodologies backed by practical experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, database management, and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate, Salesforce, Captivate, and Camtasia.
- Experience working with learning management platforms like SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, and ISOTrain.
