Job description
About the Role
Instructure builds tools that help people continue learning, developing, and advancing throughout their lives. The company focuses on creating easy-to-use products that support education, relationships, and career growth.
As a Learning Consultant, you’ll work with education organisations ranging from K-12 schools and vocational providers to large public universities. Your work will centre on change management, platform consulting, training, and customer support so clients can adopt Instructure products effectively and get the most value from them.
What You’ll Do
- Explain core features of the Instructure Learning Platform to customers and become a subject-matter expert in at least one product.
- Manage client projects tied to important initiatives and offer practical guidance and proven approaches to help reach desired outcomes.
- Work closely with other members of the services team and contribute to planning and delivery of projects.
- Apply research and analytical thinking to turn moderate-complexity problems into workable recommendations and solutions.
- Stay organised, flexible, and prompt while working with limited guidance.
- Understand client goals and tailor training or consulting outputs to match their needs and use cases.
- Run standard and customised training sessions for audiences of different sizes, roles, and experience levels.
- Create and keep training content current, including curriculum, course materials, videos, and self-paced online learning.
- Update forecasts in coordination with clients.
- Advise education customers on ways to increase product adoption and usage across their organisations.
- Support change management efforts for clients.
- Help customers use Instructure products more effectively by aligning teaching goals with platform capabilities.
- Deliver webinars, onsite sessions, and internal training when required.
- Research customer needs and objectives to improve service customisation, expand service offerings, and strengthen the customer experience.
- Spot opportunities where extra training, consulting, or support would help customers achieve their goals.
- Take part in team initiatives that contribute to department priorities.
What You Need
- Practical understanding of teaching methods, technology adoption, and best practices in educational technology.
- Comfort engaging with a broad mix of audiences, including teachers, academics, administrators, and leaders.
- Experience teaching or training in a corporate learning, K-12, vocational education, or higher education setting.
- Ability to keep training engaging, relevant, and effective.
- Strong creativity, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation, accountability, and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to use web conferencing tools and web-based platforms such as Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Calendar for coordination and facilitation.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting or leading change initiatives, or helping roll out a technology platform inside an organisation.
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Communications, or a related discipline.
Benefits and Perks
- Competitive pay and, for full-time employees, participation in an ownership programme.
- Flexible working culture with remote, hybrid, and office-based options depending on role, team, and location.
- Generous leave, including local public holidays and a late-December shutdown period known as “Dim the Lights,” subject to team needs.
- Wellness initiatives and mental health support.
- Learning and development support, including professional development resources and tuition reimbursement.
- Access to the technology and tools needed to perform well.
- Employee recognition through the Motivosity programme.
- An inclusive, supportive workplace built around meaningful connection.
