About the Role

Join the Project Delta ICON Water initiative, contributing to major water infrastructure upgrades at the Icon Water Treatment Plant in Canberra, ACT. This permanent full-time position offers a key leadership role within the structures team, supporting supervisors to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient progression of site works. The role involves working in a dynamic environment where no two days are alike, requiring a proactive mindset and effective on-site leadership, including crew management.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate concrete pouring and finishing activities.
• Assist in planning and carrying out heavy lift operations.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to schedule work sequences.
• Address and resolve basic constructability challenges encountered onsite.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, and subcontractor activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in structural construction.
• Proven track record as a Leading Hand or readiness to assume this leadership role.
• Possession of Construction White Card and relevant certifications.
• Strong team orientation and effective communication capabilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise daily tasks effectively.
• Current Driver’s Licence and personal transport required due to project locations in regional areas.
