Opportunity
Join the Stockland Halcyon Construction team and take a practical, site-based role helping deliver high-quality homes that support great homeowner experiences and strong communities. This position is based at Stockland Halcyon Dales in Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast.
Role overview
This is a hands-on Leading Hand position for someone who enjoys being out on site, helping drive build progress, and partnering with supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to uphold high standards of safety, quality, and presentation.
Key duties
- Assist with everyday site activity, including quality checks, housekeeping, site security, and general operational support.
- Carry out fix-ups, clean-ups, and gap works so construction stays on track.
- Keep the site safe, tidy, and professionally presented at all times.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to help ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.
- Follow Stockland Halcyon procedures, WHS obligations, and applicable building requirements.
- Provide daily progress updates to the Senior Leading Hand, including delays, risks, and outstanding items.
- Enter daily progress updates and complete required sign-offs in the construction program.
- Support catch-up work, site lock-ups, and other site tasks when needed.

Experience and skills
- Construction site experience in residential building environments, with a solid understanding of the building process.
- Ability to complete general site tasks such as fix-ups, tidy-ups, and scope gap works.
- Experience in busy, high-volume site settings.
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritise across multiple homes.
- Experience working with trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Clear communication skills to escalate defects, delays, and risks.
- Practical problem-solving ability and a dependable, team-oriented approach.
- A trade background is preferred.
- Current driver’s licence and the ability to commute reliably to the site.
- Current White Card.
