Role overview

Arc Aspicio is a consulting and solutions firm that works across human capital, data analytics, management, strategy, behavioral science, design, and technology. The organization is seeking a Leadership Development Specialist to help shape and run leadership-focused programs that support Federal clients through organizational change and the achievement of strategic goals.

This role centers on building and delivering leadership development efforts such as executive coaching, mentoring programs, leadership academies, succession planning, and competency models. The position calls for someone with strong consulting instincts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple projects in a collaborative environment.

The company operates in a hybrid model with work taking place at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely. Candidates must live in the Washington, DC area and be able to work in the DC metro region within commuting distance of client locations and the office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and run leadership development initiatives, including executive coaching, mentoring, leadership academies, and succession planning programs that support change efforts and strengthen leadership at all levels.
  • Help improve leadership capability across different organizational levels.
  • Prepare executive briefings, recommendations, and guidance for stakeholders on leadership development and talent management decisions.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to identify leadership challenges and suggest effective development approaches.
  • Perform culture assessments and provide practical recommendations to improve engagement and collaboration.
  • Track and assess program outcomes through metrics, participant feedback, and ongoing improvement methods.
  • Partner with clients to address complex issues, provide strong client service, and contribute to mission success.
  • Use consulting, business analysis, and communication skills to identify issues quickly, evaluate challenges, and recommend solutions for both internal teams and clients.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in leadership development, with hands-on work in executive coaching, mentoring programs, leadership academies, and competency models.
  • Experience working directly with senior clients and stakeholders and producing deliverables in a complex environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because of federal contract and/or regulatory requirements; employer sponsorship is not available.
  • Ability to stay effective in fast-changing, ambiguous, and complex settings while managing several tasks and projects at once.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, solid collaboration ability, and clear leadership potential.
  • Comfort working both remotely and in person as needed.
  • Good technical fluency, especially with Microsoft tools and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint.
  • Interest in joining a consulting firm, learning business concepts, and contributing to company events, offerings, and special projects.
  • Ability to work in the Washington, DC metro area and travel to different locations.
  • Strong executive presence, entrepreneurial drive, work ethic, team-oriented mindset, problem-solving ability, and interest in consulting work across more than one assignment.
  • Applicants must submit a brief, tailored cover letter explaining their interest in the company and why they are a strong fit for this consulting role.
  • Use of AI tools or AI-generated content is not allowed during the application process, and any applicant found using such assistance may be removed from consideration.
