Lead Structural Engineer (Power T&D, Electric Utilities) - BLR/GGN

About the role

This position is for a senior structural engineering professional focused on civil and structural design within power transmission, distribution, and electric utility projects. The work spans generation and power network infrastructure, with an emphasis on engineering support for high-voltage substations.

Key responsibilities

• Bring strong knowledge of the civil engineering aspects involved in power transmission and distribution assignments.
• Apply core structural engineering principles to civil works, including foundations and equipment bases used in power-sector projects.
• Work with projects across generation and power network environments.
• Use current international design standards, with particular attention to BS and Eurocode requirements.
• Design reinforced concrete and steel structures for utility infrastructure.
• Develop and review pile foundation solutions where required.
• Engineer support structures for HV substation equipment, including installations at 132 kV and above.

Candidate profile

The ideal professional will hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and bring extensive industry experience in structural design for power-sector infrastructure.
