Job description
Role overview
This opening is for an experienced land surveyor to measure land, establish property limits, and determine elevations and areas for jurisdictional use. The position sits within the Public Works Department and is a full-time, on-site role in Osnabrück Land.
What you will do
- Investigate property records such as titles, mortgages, and leases.
- Identify road center lines and establish right-of-way boundaries.
- Prepare formal legal property descriptions for land to be acquired by the jurisdiction.
- Create metes-and-bounds plots based on deed information.
- Survey land to calculate boundaries, surface areas, and elevation.
What is required
Candidates must hold a Land Surveyor’s License issued by the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. A valid New Jersey driver’s license is also required for appointees.
