Job description
Position Overview
elbdeli is looking for a committed and proactive cook to join its catering kitchen team in Hamburg. The role is suited to someone who enjoys helping shape a creative kitchen environment and contributing fresh ideas instead of following only standard recipes.
Work Schedule
The position offers family-friendly working hours from Monday to Friday, with core working time from 8:00 to 16:30. Weekends and public holidays are off, including bridge days and Christmas. The role is available in part-time or full-time format.
Key Responsibilities
- Finalise and plate the daily menu items.
- Prepare salads, bowls, and seasonal dishes independently.
- Restock the breakfast display case.
- Assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Place orders and keep track of stock levels.
- Work in a hygienic manner and follow HACCP standards.
- Contribute ideas and help further develop dishes.
Requirements
- Completed training as a cook or an equivalent qualification.
- Sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Organised, self-directed way of working.
- Motivation and a desire to help shape quality.
- Good knowledge of German cuisine; experience with international cooking styles is an advantage.
- German language skills are required.
