Role Summary

This full-time position is for a Kitchen Equipment Technician in Sharjah. The role is primarily site-based, with some limited remote tasks such as paperwork and reporting. You will be responsible for installing, setting up, testing, and commissioning commercial kitchen equipment so it performs safely and meets required standards.

Key Duties

• Install, commission, and verify the operation of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues in kitchen systems.
• Carry out repairs, replacements, and corrective maintenance on equipment such as ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigeration units, and other heavy-duty appliances.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment lifespan.
• Respond to service requests at client locations and provide timely technical support.
• Keep service logs up to date and prepare basic job reports.
• Work with the service team and customer representatives to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
• Help monitor spare parts stock and support inventory control.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and operational procedures at all times.
• Offer basic operating guidance to users when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hands-on technical experience with commercial or heavy kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults in mechanical systems, electrical components, and controls.
• Prior experience with preventive maintenance for heavy equipment.
• Strong communication skills for dealing with clients, supervisors, and colleagues, along with clear documentation ability.
• Vocational diploma, technical certificate, or similar practical experience in mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration fields.
• Capability to understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Valid UAE driving license or the ability to travel between client sites as required.
• Good time management, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
